The Year of the Dragon

A very, happy Chinese Lunar New Year!

We helped usher in the year of our fire-breathing friend by making these dragons on parade.  They were lovely hanging from the light fixtures in our classroom but because they set off the alarm sensors (*oops*), their appearance was rather short-lived.  Oh, well.  I’m glad the kids get to enjoy them at home in time for this special day.

The fun continues today as we practice painting Chinese numerals and singing Lion Dance songs.

Wishing everyone good health and much happiness and prosperity.

P.S. Last year’s dragon that I really had nothing to do with at all.

  1. Wow, that is a colorful dragon! How did they set off the alarms? Are they motion sensors?
