Canada: What we know

I wanted to assess what my kids already knew about Canada and well, let’s just say squeezing in a quick study about our country (that’s country, not city) would be a fine idea.

Not to say that Canada isn’t a safe, lucky, rich place with beautiful gardens, fresh trees and cherry blossoms – but I’m thinking there’s a tad more to the true north strong and free.

We started off by looking at Canadian symbols and then in pairs, made our own renditions of our beloved flag.

A caribou showered by maple leaves, flanked by inukshuks. Nice.

Hockey sticks, of course.

Hockey sticks, loons and… Christmas trees. ┬áNaturally.

O, Canada.  More learning with glowing hearts, to come.
